⚠️ LAKE CHARLES & SWLA — WEATHER PSA
This isn’t about panic, and we’re definitely not trying to predict the weather. This is simply a reminder to PAY ATTENTION & BE PREPARED based on the latest information being reported by the National Weather Service.
As Tropical Storm Edouard impacts our area, be prepared for:
🌧️ Heavy rain & possible flooding
💨 Strong wind gusts
🌳 Downed limbs/debris
⚡ Possible power outages
🌪️ The possibility of isolated tornadoes
🚗 Hazardous road conditions, especially in low-lying areas
Take a few minutes NOW to prepare.
Charge your phones and portable chargers. Secure anything outside that could blow away. Make sure you have flashlights, medications and basic necessities nearby. Avoid unnecessary driving during the worst weather, and NEVER drive through flooded roads.
Most importantly, keep your weather alerts ON and continue following official updates. Conditions can change quickly.
We’ve been through enough storms around here to know: being prepared is always better than being caught off guard.
Check on your family. Check on your elderly neighbors. Stay weather-aware and stay safe, SWLA. ❤️
SHARE THIS POST so somebody else remembers to prepare.
