Back-to-school season is a great time to refresh the safety basics—whether students are walking, biking, riding the bus, getting dropped off, or driving themselves.

A few reminders for a safer school commute:
• Walk on sidewalks when available, use crosswalks, and look for drivers before crossing.
• Bike with a properly fitted helmet, follow traffic rules, and choose lower-traffic routes when possible.
