Way to go Viqueens!! ππ
The Community Viqueens are bringing home a state championship trophy after a dominant 10-1 victory over Marion County in the 2026 TSSAA Class 2A Girls Softball State Championship Game on Saturday at Shelbyville Central High School.
After trailing 1-0 early, the Viqueens exploded for six runs in the second inning and never looked back. Community added another run in the third before putting the game away with three more runs in the sixth inning to cap off an impressive championship performance.
Community finished with 12 hits on the afternoon, led by a huge offensive effort from several players. The Viqueens lineup stayed hot throughout the game.
In the circle, Prince was outstanding once again, tossing a complete game while allowing just one run on five hits and striking out 15 batters in a dominant championship outing.
The Viqueens capped off an incredible postseason run by defeating Kingston, Unicoi County, and Marion County on their way to the Class 2A state title.
