Market volatility can make changing your investment strategy feel urgent. It is one of the most common conversations we have with clients, and one of the most understandable. Before making a change, three questions are worth asking.

Has anything changed about my actual goals, timeline, or financial needs, or has only the market moved?

Am I reacting to my portfolio, or am I reacting to a headline?

Would I be comfortable explaining this decision to myself a year from now, once the noise has passed?

A well-built plan already accounts for periods like this one. It was never built assuming a straight line.

That said, if recent movement in the markets has raised a genuine question about your plan, that conversation is always worth having with your advisor.
