Facts about Roth IRAs:

ROTHs ARE subject to the withdraw prior to age 59 ½ tax penalty rule.

ROTHs are NOT subject to RMD’s, in fact there are NO REQUIRED withdraws while the owner is alive.

ROTHs contributions DO NOT provide a tax break, but EARNINGS (interest) and WITHDRAWS are generally TAX-FREE.

When you are setting up an annuity with funds from a ROTH it must be designated as a ROTH IRA when it is set up, therefore cannot be combined with any other type of qualified funds.

You can still contribute to your ROTH IRA after you turn 70 ½ years old.

There are contribution rules for ROTH accounts based on your clients federal income tax filing status and their modified adjusted gross income (MAGI).

Total contributions in 2025 to ROTHs (and/or Traditional IRAs) cannot be more than $7,000 ($8,000 if you are older than 50 years old).

ROTH contributions can be limited based on your filing status and income.
