To all of our wonderful and amazing customers. Gina and my offices will be closed for a short period of time... Wednesday Oct 9th-11th for an office retreat. During this time we're hoping to re-energize our team members and focus on how to serve you better.

🎉Happy Total Solar Eclipse day!

Welcome Tye Dye, the new office pet.

She is a 4.5 foot Brazilian Rainbow Boa constrictor that is 6 years old. She'll grow to a maximum of approx. 5-7ft and lives in a high heat, high humidity environment.

Right now Tye Dye is eating large rats once a month and enjoys her shelter during the day. Tye Dye is a nocturnal reptile and doesn't come out much during the day, this makes for a GREAT office pet. Why? Because 3 of the 8 office team members don't like snakes! 😂🤣 and 2 of the 8 only tolerate snake.

Anyway, come by and say hello to her. She's in a back office and not visible in case we have customers that protest snakes.

Bauer ECE North hosted the first of 3 family events on November 8 focused on safety. Local Fire Department personnel joined our families and offered tips to keep safe during the holiday season. The evening included dinner, discussion, evacuation planning, and activities for the children. Each family who attended also received carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors for their home. Doug and Angie, from Nampa, Idaho, had the wisdom to purchase life insurance in 2020 to protect their three children, Clayton, Caleb and Trinity.

Two years later, Doug, who was the sole provider, passed away from melanoma at the age of 51, only four months after his diagnosis.

Did you know July 1st is National Play Outside Day, and it happens to fall on a Saturday this year? Grab the kids, grab the dog, and grab some water this weekend, so you can enjoy the great outdoors.

She’s 34, he’s 37. Three kids. Combined income $84,000. $225,000 left to pay on their home.

If one of them dies prematurely, the other gets 3x annual salary from a plan through work. They are very comfortable with this. “She can pay off the house,” he says with confidence.

And then what?

On $35,000, she raises 3 kids and still has to pay property tax, home and auto insurance (with teen drivers coming up), food, clothing, co-pays on medical and dental, gas, etc, etc. And the wild card is health insurance - what if her portion of the premiums goes up or she has to change jobs?

What do vacations and saving for college look like in this scenario? Definitely different.

And she still has 30 years to go until retirement. Probably more now.

This is National Life Insurance Awareness Month because of the very typical situation I described. Most of us get 1-3x our income at work, but financial experts recommend 10x.

Is it expensive? $20-$30 a month if you’re in good health can buy $250,000 or more from a company that has the assets to survive the next recession or even a depression (be wary of companies you’ve never heard of before who put your premiums into risky things to save you $5).

It probably won’t happen to you. But on the other hand, there are a half-million UNFUNDED GoFundMe accounts for that very reason. What more than likely will happen, rather than dying young, your health will change rendering you higher risk or even ineligible when you’re in your 50s...when these things weigh more heavily on your mind.

I love my wife and son so I carry private life insurance. It’s a good feeling. It’s my responsibility.
