The First National Bank of Lacon is pleased to announce the addition of our new Senior Ag Lender, Mike Shane! Mike grew up on a family farm near Princeville, IL. He attended the University of Illinois earning a degree in Agronomy and later earned his MBA at Northern Illinois University. Mike brings over 20 years of ag lending experience working for Farm Credit in Northern Illinois and most recently CBI Bank & Trust in Brimfield & Galesburg, IL. He currently resides in Peoria with his wife and three children. Mike still farms corn and seed beans near Dunlap and truly understands what it takes to run a successful operation from the ground up. He completed the Illinois Agricultural Leadership program in 2014 and is currently a district director for the Illinois Corn Growers Association and Vice President of the Peoria County Corn-Soy Promoters. Mike's deep roots in the agriculture community and passion for serving producers make him a perfect fit for our institution. Our customers will benefit greatly from his hands-on knowledge and dedication to the industry. Be sure to stop in and welcome Mike to the community and see how he can help you grow your business!
