I just responded to someone who ran down medicare insurance agents who offer advantage plans. Actually said it was all about commissions being higher than with medicare supplements. This was my response:
that's not true. I go over both options, always starting with med sups. It has been the seniors who have pushed the adv policies. If you do not offer both, you are doing a disservice to the senior
AND it is not about commission, it is about service and I stay active all year serving my seniors.
Not mentioned, but I have an advantage plan. I am healthy and I wanted the extra benefits.

companies are starting to shut down on binding for the storms coming in. anyone can get flood but wont be effective for 30 days

Flood is the number 1 loss across the us. You can always buy flood insurance even if a storm is in the gulf, because there will be a 30 day wait before it goes into effect.
