Cybercriminals often pounce at the first sign of an “out of office” automated email. They count on busy returning employees moving quickly through their inbox.

A phishing email disguised as an urgent request from a coworker, manager or vendor can be difficult to flag in the rush to catch up.

Remind returning employees to pause, verify unexpected requests and report suspicious messages. It’s also a good time to review how much information your vacation autoresponders reveal.
