Many of my clients already had advisors, they were looking for a more coordinated, comprehensive approach across all aspects of their financial picture. They wanted one primary point of contact to help coordinate decisions and provide clarity as they move forward. Clients often reach out when important decisions arise. I focus on what I what I think of as ‘return on life’ planning. That means help
ing people live well today and tomorrow while protecting the people they care about for the future. I believe planning has to account for more than market risk. Life brings other risks that matter just as much. During the Great Recession, while working in a retirement home, I watched retirees lose the security they thought was permanent. At the same time, I watched my own father lose his business and everything he had built. Later, my family experienced the sudden loss of my father-in-law, and I cared for my mother before, during and after hospice. Those experiences shaped how I view planning. Health changes, long-term care needs, loss of income and unexpected events can change everything if they are not thought through ahead of time. Today, I work with families and retirees who want their income, decisions and legacy to feel organized and intentional, not stressful. Our conversations focus more on how financial decisions align with real-life goals than on short-term market activity. I also work closely with CPAs, attorneys and other professionals to keep everything aligned. If you are looking for a thoughtful, collaborative approach and recognize that financial planning extends beyond the markets, we may be a good fit to connect.
