Learning how to manage money is an important life skill, and one that's never too early to develop.

Earlier this month, our team members in San Diego volunteered with Junior Achievement of San Diego County at Mission Fed JA Finance Park, helping students navigate real-world financial decisions through an interactive adult life simulation.

From budgeting for everyday expenses to balancing the needs of a virtual family, students gained hands-on experience making choices about saving, spending and managing money.

Opening a door to employment can change someone’s life.

On Saturday, our Chairman and CEO Jared Wolff accepted the Corporate Trailblazer Award at the 2026 Chrysalis Butterfly Ball on behalf of our Banc of California colleagues.

In his remarks, Jared reflected on the responsibility business leaders have to give people an opportunity to prove themselves. That commitment is at the heart of Chrysalis’ work helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and build meaningful careers.

Downtown Los Angeles is moving forward. So is our commitment to its future.

Mayor Karen Bass joined Chairman and CEO Jared Wolff, Banc of California colleagues and leaders from across the region to officially open our new 40,000-square-foot Downtown LA office.

More than a new workplace, the office brings our teams closer to the clients and communities shaping Los Angeles while strengthening our commitment to Downtown’s continued revitalization.

Mayor Bass also announced that Jared will serve as the next Chair of her Executive Business Cabinet, bringing together CEOs from the industries driving the local economy.

Back-to-school season brings many decisions, including how to stretch a budget.

Our team members recently volunteered with Project Access at Triada in San Diego and Madison Park in Anaheim, serving as financial mentors for local youth.

Each volunteer was paired with a student for an in-person shopping experience at Target, helping them think through budgeting basics, compare needs and wants, and make smart back-to-school purchases.

Colleagues from across Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego County recently volunteered at Entrepreneur Camp, a hands-on financial literacy program run by Child Creativity Lab at the Orange County Rescue Mission.

Throughout the camp, students created their own small businesses while learning about budgeting, opportunity costs and the difference between needs and wants.

Thank you to our colleagues who helped guide and encourage these young entrepreneurs throughout the experience.

We continued to build strong client momentum in Q2.

Average loans grew at a 9% annualized rate, driven by $2.8 billion in loan production and disbursements, while total deposits grew at a 12% annualized rate, increasing by $799 million to $28.1 billion.
