Fayette County Farm Bureau is the Voice of Texas Agriculture in Fayette County, serving more than 4,100 member families. We support our community through scholarships, Ag Day for fourth graders, Food Connection Day, and other programs, and host an annual countywide membership meeting each October. Big shoutout to Fayette County Farm Bureau President Steven Harker and his wife, Jackie, for being in Washington, D.C. last week representing our county! 🇺🇸🌾

A farmer’s job isn’t always in the field - sometimes it’s in the halls of Capitol Hill advocating for the future of agriculture. Nearly 300 Texas farmers and ranchers made the trip to meet with lawmakers and their staff to talk about important issues like the farm bill, labor, trade, and the threat of the New World screwworm.

They also heard from U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins and U.S. Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Stephen Vaden.

Proud to see our local voices helping make a difference. It was a great week of advocacy in D.C.!

This year, the programs will be held in-person, and there are 8 locations.

🟠 Jumpstart: Any student entering 8th grade this fall is eligible to participate.
• Explore careers in Ag & Natural Resources
• Build leadership skills and network with peers
