Running a small business means wearing a lot of hats. Trust me, I know! 😊

Between taking care of customers, managing employees, and keeping everything running, reviewing your business insurance probably isn't at the top of your list.

I think we’ve all said that about something important.

Life insurance can easily become one of those things.

You mean to look into it. You plan to review what you already have. You tell yourself you’ll take care of it when things slow down.

And somehow another year goes by.

You don’t have to have all the answers before starting the conversation. Sometimes the first step is simply finding out what you have, what you may need and what options are available.

What does having a local insurance agent actually mean?

To me, it means you have someone you can call when you have a question.

Someone who can help you understand your coverage, talk through a change, help when something goes wrong, or simply review what you have when life changes.

Insurance can feel like paperwork and policy numbers — but behind every policy is a person, a family, a home or a business that matters.

That’s the part of this business I’ve always valued most.

Your liability limits. Your deductibles. Whether you have rental reimbursement. What happens if you're hit by someone who doesn't have enough insurance.

It's easy to renew the same policy year after year without really looking at what's there.

• What company is it with?
• How much coverage do we have?
• Who are the beneficiaries?
• Where is the policy information?
• Who should we call if something happens?

Life insurance is meant to help protect the people you love, but that protection is easier to navigate when both people know what’s in place.
