Went camping. Didn’t take a plethora of pictures or record hours of video like too many do online.
You’ll just have to trust me on this: it was stressful, time consuming, frustrating, and we were mostly miserable because of the heat… but one moment I’ll cherish forever—holding my 8 month old in the middle of a creek, the gushing water as white noise to help him both lull and stay asleep. It was the quickest half hour I’ve ever experienced holding him.

It was the sunniest day too, and he still fell and stayed asleep. The coolness from the creek, the calmness, even my humming “Amazing Grace”… didn’t feel long at all.
