Yesterday I received a homeowner's insurance quote for a customer from a big online company. It was ridiculously high, but being a first-time homebuyer, my customer didn't know any better. I gave the customer a list of several local agents, and they were able to get better coverage for almost $900 LESS than the online quote. Additionally, they are also going to save over $100 PER MONTH on their auto insurance going forward! I'm a firm believer in shopping LOCAL first...whether that is for a lender, insurance agent or pretty much anything. Not only does it usually benefit you, it benefits your community.

Contest time! It took me a while, but I recently discovered Black Wax Cafe in Kokomo. I can honestly say this is my new favorite store in town. They have a huge selection of vinyl records, CD's & turntables. Their café serves delicious coffees & frozen drinks too! So...I'd like to give away a $50 gift card to one lucky winner!
