“I need to think about it.”

It’s one of the most common objections in sales, but it doesn’t always mean your prospect isn’t interested.

More often, it means they need more clarity, more confidence, or simply more time to understand the value of what you’re offering.

Instead of rushing to change their mind, ask thoughtful questions. Understanding why they’re hesitating can lead to a much more productive conversation than trying to overcome the objection right away.

The best salespeople don’t rely on pressure. They build trust by listening first.

Experience matters. But it’s not everything.

Someone with years of experience can still struggle if they’re unwilling to take feedback, stay consistent, or keep learning. Meanwhile, someone new to the industry can grow quickly when they bring the right mindset and work ethic to the table.

That’s why we look beyond the résumé. Coachability, consistency, professionalism, work ethic, and a willingness to learn tell us a lot about someone’s potential.

You don’t have to know everything on day one. You have to be willing to learn.
