September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Life insurance is not about death. It is about love, protection, income replacement, family stability, and legacy. September is the time to review what you have, identify what is missing, and make sure the people you love are protected.

This is your reminder: life insurance is not about fear. It is about love, responsibility, and protecting the people who depend on you.

This month, RRO Financial is helping families, entrepreneurs, and working professionals review their coverage, understand their options, and make confident decisions.

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Life insurance isn’t just about what happens when you’re gone.
It’s about protecting what you’re building while you’re here.

Your income.
Your family.
Your home.
Your business.
Your legacy.

Too many people put off getting coverage because they think they have more time, or assume what they already have through work is enough. But the best time to understand your options is before life forces you to.

This month, take a few minutes to ask yourself:
➡️ Would my family be financially secure without my income?
➡️ Would debts, a mortgage, or final expenses become someone else’s responsibility?
➡️ Is my current coverage actually enough for the life I have today?

Life insurance is not about fear.
It’s about having a plan.

If you haven’t reviewed your coverage recently, Life Insurance Awareness Month is a good reminder to start the conversation.

Most people I meet aren't ignoring their finances.

They're working.
They're paying bills.
They're taking care of their families.
They're trying to save.

They're building businesses, planning for their children, thinking about retirement and doing the best they can with the information they have.

But here's where I think the conversation needs to change: Doing "good things" with your money isn't necessarily the same as having a financial strategy.

You can be saving without knowing what you're saving toward.
You can have insurance without understanding whether it actually protects what needs protecting.
You can have retirement accounts without knowing what retirement income might look like.
You can own a successful business without understanding how your business, taxes and personal financial future connect.

That's why I encourage people to start with different questions:

➡️ What am I building?
➡️ What am I protecting?
➡️ What happens if my income changes?
➡️ What does retirement actually look like for me?
➡️ What do I want to leave behind?

And are the financial decisions I'm making today actually moving me toward those answers?

Making money matters.
Knowing what you want your money to DO matters just as much.
That's where the real conversation begins.

Today, we are excited to officially launch the Project 1660 Family Financial Readiness Scorecard.

Most families don't know where they stand financially until life presents an unexpected challenge.

A health crisis.
A retirement decision.
An unexpected expense.
A caregiving responsibility.
A loss in the family.

The purpose of this scorecard is simple:
Help families identify strengths, uncover potential gaps, and start important conversations before they become urgent.

The assessment evaluates four critical areas:
✔ Young Money Readiness
✔ Retirement & Medicare Readiness
✔ Protection & Risk Readiness
✔ Legacy & Family Communication

Because financial readiness isn't about perfection.
It's about awareness. And awareness creates action.

Download your complimentary scorecard today and discover where your family stands.

Many financial challenges don't begin with bad decisions.
They begin with delayed decisions.

❌ The retirement conversation that never happened.
❌ The life insurance policy that was never reviewed.
❌ The beneficiary designation that was never updated.
❌ The caregiving discussion everyone assumed would happen later.

Life gets busy.
The days become months.
The months become years.

And suddenly, important decisions become urgent decisions.

At Project 1660, we believe one of the greatest gifts we can give the people we love is preparation.

✅ Preparation creates options.
✅ Preparation reduces stress.
✅ Preparation creates confidence.
✅ Preparation protects families.

The strongest families are not necessarily the wealthiest. They are often the families willing to have important conversations before life forces them to.

What conversation have you been meaning to have but haven't started yet?

Why does Project 1660 focus on the ages 16 and 60? Because these two ages represent some of the most important financial transition points in life.

At 16, financial habits begin forming.

Young people start working. They receive their first paychecks.
Open bank accounts. Learn spending habits.
Begin making decisions that can impact the next several decades of their lives.

At 60, many adults begin asking a different set of questions.

Am I prepared for retirement? Do I understand my Medicare options?
Will my savings last? Have I protected my family? Have I done enough?

These stages may seem worlds apart, but they share one common thread:

Preparation.

Project 1660 was built on the belief that financial confidence should be developed early and strengthened throughout life.

The strongest families don't simply transfer wealth.
They transfer wisdom.
They transfer values.
They transfer preparedness.
And they transfer confidence.

That's why we focus on both ends of the family journey.
Because financial readiness should never belong to only one generation.

Today, on Juneteenth, we are honored to officially introduce Project 1660.

Juneteenth represents freedom, resilience, progress, and opportunity. It serves as a powerful reminder that while freedom creates possibilities, preparation helps us fully embrace them.

At Project 1660, we believe one of the greatest forms of empowerment is financial readiness.

Too many young people enter adulthood without practical financial education.

Too many adults approach retirement with uncertainty around healthcare, Medicare, protection planning, and legacy decisions.

Too many families avoid conversations that could create clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

Project 1660 was created to bridge those gaps.

Our mission is simple:
Prepare the young.
Protect the seasoned.
Preserve the family.

Through education, resources, workshops, and meaningful conversations, we aim to help families strengthen financial confidence across generations.

This isn't simply about money.
It's about reducing fear.
Creating opportunity.
Protecting what matters most.

And building a legacy of preparedness for future generations.

Welcome to Project 1660.

Honor. Reflect. Celebrate.

Juneteenth reminds us that lasting change begins with courage, continues through perseverance, and grows when communities come together with purpose.

Today, we honor the past, celebrate progress, and recommit ourselves to creating opportunities that strengthen families, empower future generations, and leave a lasting legacy.

Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth.
