As I am sure you have heard by now, seems like there is a big snowstorm headed our way! The best thing to do is to stay off the roads until they are cleared. If you absolutely have to be on the roads, please use caution. Here are some winter driving reminders:

- Clear frost, snow and ice thoroughly from your car.
- Keep your gas tank half full.
- Clear your exhaust pipe.
- Use your headlights for visibility.
- Allow more time for braking.
- Avoid using cruise control.
- Be cautious of black ice.
- Keep a winter survival kit in your car.

TOY DRIVE 🧸🧩🎮🎨🎁

Our annual toy drive is back! This year we are collecting donations to benefit Friends of Kids with Cancer. Donations can be dropped off at our office during business hours between November 24th and December 22nd. Their most requested items can be viewed on the attached flyer.

We had so much fun putting together this "Good Neighbor Hosting Essentials" basket for a CB Gundaker auction event. We are about four days out from the Greentree Parade 🌳🚙🎈 While the parade route looks a little different than in past years due to the road construction on Essex, we will be viewing the parade off Kirkwood Road, near the Alpine Shop. The unique location of our office allows us to meet our customers close to home. We are tucked away in a residential area, while having proximity to the businesses in downtown Kirkwood. Our building was built in 1928 and contains lots of history! Before we moved into this space in 1994, it served as a laundromat and a grocery store (just to name a few). We are so grateful to be a part of the many businesses that have served the Kirkwood community from this location.

This photo was captured in 1948 by Francis Scheidegger. Francis was a lifelong resident of Kirkwood. He captured many photos of our area over his years, in addition to serving the community in many other ways.
