Yesterday was a day of tremendous pride Ulster Insurance Services, especially for Kelly, Dan, and Ann.
Through hard work, dedication, and an incredible team effort, we are honored to be part of the $100 million Phase 2 project; Kingston Housing Authorityâs public housing redevelopment project. The project will modernize nearly 160 apartments at Colonial Gardens and Wiltwyck, and build 80 new units of affordable senior housing on the Penn Court site. This allâelectric design includes rooftop solar and energyâefficient planned systems. This will make these apartments more affordable by not only reducing climate-damaging emissions but also lowering utility costs.
Our team was given a gold shovel and recognized multiple times during the groundbreaking ceremony. It was an unforgettable moment that proudly reflects the commitment and perseverance of everyone involved.
Shout out to Kelly, Ann, and Dan on this project! Thank you to Kelly for her long-term, industrious work connecting us with the Kingston Housing Authority.
Thank you to Ann for her tireless dedication and work to get this project off the ground.
Lastly, thank you to Dan for the countless conversations with the insurance carrier he fielded, and the persistent effort he put into helping make this project a reality.
We were glad to join local leaders at this event, such as the Kingston Housing Authority, Governor Kathy Hochul, New York State Homes & Community Renewal, City of Kingston Mayor Steve Noble, Mountco, Gateway Hudson Valley, and Ulster County Executive, Jen Metzger.
Itâs incredibly rewarding to see our all-star insurance team be part of one the largest low-income housing project in Kingston's history. This has been an amazing journey, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this development will have on our community for generations to come!
