When is the last time you reviewed your business insurance policy?

As the seasons change, it's the perfect time to review your business insurance policy. Whether you're gearing up for a busy season or winding down, ensuring your coverage aligns with your current needs is crucial.

1. Seasonal businesses, in particular, can experience fluctuations that impact their insurance requirements. By reviewing your policy, you can make sure you're adequately protected against potential risks and liabilities that may arise during peak times or quieter periods.

2. Update Coverage for New Assets: If you've acquired new equipment or expanded your operations, your current policy might not fully cover these additions.

3. Adjust for Business Growth: As your business grows, so do your risks. Ensure your policy reflects your current business size and scope.

4. Comply with NYS Requirements: In New York State, maintaining adequate Disability Benefits Law (DBL) and Workers' Compensation coverage is crucial. These policies protect your employees in case of non-work-related injuries or illnesses and safeguard your business against work-related injuries. Regularly reviewing your policy ensures compliance with state requirements and helps protect your workforce

Taking the time to assess your coverage helps safeguard your business, providing peace of mind and allowing you to focus on what you do best. Don't wait until it's too late—review your policy today and ensure your business is ready for whatever the season brings!

Back to school season is here! 🚌Is your policy ready for the next chapter? 🤔

As your children embark on exciting new journeys—whether heading off to college, graduating, or moving out—it's the perfect time to ensure your insurance policy is up to date! ☂️
Here’s a quick breakdown of what you might need to consider:
1. College Bound?
- Auto Insurance: If your child is taking a car to college, you may need to adjust your auto policy. Alternatively, if they're leaving the car at home, you might qualify for a discount!
- Personal Property: Dorm life means new gadgets and gear. Make sure their belongings are covered under your homeowner’s or renters insurance.
2. Graduation Day!
-Health Insurance: Although your health insurance plan may continue to cover your graduate while they are away at college, it's crucial to research the network of doctors and pharmacies available in their new location. Doing so can help prevent inconveniences in case of recurring needs, medical treatments, and other situations such as routine check-ups or prescription refills. The same consideration should be given to dental and vision plans.
- Renters Insurance: Moving into a new apartment? Protect their new space and belongings with renters' insurance.
3. Flying the Nest?
- Homeowners Insurance: If your child is moving out permanently, it might be time to update your policy to reflect the change in household size.
- Life Changes: Marriage, new jobs, or other big life events can impact insurance needs. Make sure their coverage grows with them!

Yesterday was a day of tremendous pride Ulster Insurance Services, especially for Kelly, Dan, and Ann.

Through hard work, dedication, and an incredible team effort, we are honored to be part of the $100 million Phase 2 project; Kingston Housing Authority’s public housing redevelopment project. The project will modernize nearly 160 apartments at Colonial Gardens and Wiltwyck, and build 80 new units of affordable senior housing on the Penn Court site. This all‑electric design includes rooftop solar and energy‑efficient planned systems. This will make these apartments more affordable by not only reducing climate-damaging emissions but also lowering utility costs.

Our team was given a gold shovel and recognized multiple times during the groundbreaking ceremony. It was an unforgettable moment that proudly reflects the commitment and perseverance of everyone involved.

Shout out to Kelly, Ann, and Dan on this project! Thank you to Kelly for her long-term, industrious work connecting us with the Kingston Housing Authority.
Thank you to Ann for her tireless dedication and work to get this project off the ground.
Lastly, thank you to Dan for the countless conversations with the insurance carrier he fielded, and the persistent effort he put into helping make this project a reality.

We were glad to join local leaders at this event, such as the Kingston Housing Authority, Governor Kathy Hochul, New York State Homes & Community Renewal, City of Kingston Mayor Steve Noble, Mountco, Gateway Hudson Valley, and Ulster County Executive, Jen Metzger.

It’s incredibly rewarding to see our all-star insurance team be part of one the largest low-income housing project in Kingston's history. This has been an amazing journey, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this development will have on our community for generations to come!

Dan, Kelly, and Ann were thrilled to be a part of this ground-breaking for affordable community housing!
