💙 A LITTLE EXTRA INFORMATION CAN GIVE YOU A LOT OF PEACE OF MIND
Choosing a healthcare plan can be confusing, especially when different plans may sound very similar.
Some policies are marketed in ways that may make them appear connected to a major, well-known insurance carrier, when they are actually separate supplemental, limited-benefit, discount, or “add-on” policies that are not affiliated with that carrier.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the policy is bad — but you deserve to know exactly what you are purchasing.
Before enrolling, take a moment to ask:
✔️ Who is the actual insurance carrier?
✔️ Is this major medical coverage or a supplemental/add-on policy?
✔️ Is the plan actually affiliated with the company whose name was mentioned?
✔️ What does the plan cover — and what doesn’t it cover?
✔️ Are my doctors, hospitals, and prescriptions included?
If you are 60 or older and believe you may have been misled or deceived when purchasing healthcare coverage, you are not alone — and you don’t may have options to fix it!
You may be able to report suspected elder fraud and get help understanding what happened.
