Kinder- Randall A. LaFleur, 72, born August 12, 1948, of Kinder passed away on December 13, 2020. Randall was very well known in the Kinder community, serving as a State Farm agent for 49 years. In his younger days, he was an avid fisher and hunter that enjoyed the outdoors. Randall was a Cajun cook who enjoyed entertaining and cooking for people and seeing the joy that it brought to their faces. He was a businessman who enjoyed sharing stories and mentoring those around him. Both his children and grandchildren were often reminded by him that no matter how hard things get, never give up. Randall will be greatly missed by his family and many dear friends.
Those left to cherish his memory include: Cledius “Tanny” Ann LaFleur, his beautiful 3 daughters; Amanda and husband Rushian Bordelon, Candice LaFleur and husband Nicholas Vidrine, Lauren LaFleur; grandchildren, Cameron Vidrine, Cara Vidrine, and Bella Bordelon; sisters, Sharilyn Fontenot, Cindy Brown, and Debbie Seilhan. He will also be cherished by his 3 beloved pets: Poopsie, Streaky, and Chubby.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Ethelyn LaFleur of Duralde, Louisiana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with Father Keith Pellerin officiating. Burial will follow in Kinder McRill Cemetery under the direction of Reed Funeral Home. **GREAT NEWS TO SHARE**

There is a State Farm Claims tent set up at:
2100 East Prien Lake Rd, LC
(Old Mark Dodge Location)
7am to 5pm (because of curfew)

- It will be staffed with quailified adjusters, who can look at your pictures, assess your damages and advance you money if applicable!

-Bring all of your claim info...Pictures, receipts, etc...

-Why did it take 10 days?
Every resource for field adjusters was pulled and put in the field to start working on people’s homes. We have 600 adjusters working in this area. We were finally able to recruit more adjusters to work the claims tent, so here it is.

-The sheer size of this disaster is staggering, but we have never stopped trying to move forward and bring help to this community.

-REMEMBER...we are ALL going through this. Keep your chin up, be kind, ask lots of questions and don’t get sucked into the negativity and mis-information on social media. One person’s negative experience is not your experience. I’m hearing wonderful things from my customers, but they are busy getting their homes back in order, rather than posting on Facebook.

** If you are not happy with something, tell your agent, rather than the world, because they are the person who can actually offer you solutions. We are ready to help! You can call or text our office at 337-738-5634.

Sharing this from another State Farm agent...

ATTENTION... IF YOU ARE TOLD BY A ROOFING COMPANY THAT THEY WILL TARP YOUR ROOF BUT YOU HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM TO REPLACE YOUR ROOF, DO NOT DO IT!

There are plenty of roofing companies or individuals that are going to come around that will tarp your roof and not obligate you to a contract. Until you have confirmation from your insurance company that the entire roof has to be replaced OR It’s painfully obvious that the whole roof is almost gone or needs to be replaced, be very careful about obligating yourself to doing so. Do that at your own risk.
