Congratulations to our October , April Dutchuk of Killdeer, N.D.
April was raised in Wyoming by a former North Dakota rancher, but she and her husband made Killdeer their home in late 2013.
“I already had my life and health insurance license and noticed the Nodak sign one day,” she recalls. “I called to inquire about working for the agent at that time, and 18 months later, I was offered the opportunity to become an agent and took it!”
Although not directly involved in agriculture, April is proud to support many farmers and ranchers through her work with Nodak. She says her passion for helping people understand and navigate their coverage options inspired her to become a sales agent for NDFB Health Plans.
“NDFB Health Plans opened the door for me to offer additional choices to my clients,” she explains. “If these plans are a good fit, I’m more than happy to guide them through the application process. I’d love to see the program continue to grow within my community.”
April also enjoys working with the Dunn County Farm Bureau board. “They are a young, active group and I’ve learned so much about the challenges our producers face and the support that’s available to them,” she says. One of her favorite board activities is the annual Free Meat Monday event during NDFB Week at the local school. “It’s always such a joy to see the students and get to know many of them by name.”
When she’s not working with clients, April stays busy attending and volunteering at community events. “It’s wonderful to be part of this community,” she says. “The relationships I’ve built with my clients, many of whom have become friends, mean so much to me. It’s amazing to watch the kids I once saw on the playground grow up, graduate, go to college, get married, and start families of their own.”
Thank you, April, for your dedication to your community and to NDFB Health Plans. We appreciate all that you do!
