For 9 years I have enjoyed taking care of your insurance needs. The pleasure is mine. It is my hope that I am handling them to suit you. With all the changes in the insurance industry you have been understanding of changes we have had to make.
It is with a sad heart that I must prepare you for my departure from my office. I am experiencing some medical problems which will keep me from maintaining your relationship with my office.
I will not leave you without some ideas of what to do concerning your insurance needs. After January 15, 2024, you will be assigned to Integra Insurance Services, which is who I have been partnering with for the past 9 years. Tonight Kilgore High School celebrated 50 years of the KHS Hi-Steppers with nearly 150 alumni performing with the current Hi-Stepper line. I enjoyed getting to perform One More Time at RE St. John. KHS Class of 1992. ❤️🤍🖤

Retired Texas teachers could use your help!! This is important! Please share.

Prop 9 Vote YES!

Texas Voters: In November, there will be 14 propositions on the ballot. PROP 9 authorizes a cost-of-living (COLA) adjustment for some of the Teacher Retirement System annuitants. The monies to provide for this small COLA will NOT COST THE TAXPAYERS ANYTHING! The funds are ALREADY IN the TRS Account. We just need everyone in Texas to vote YES in order for the legislature to release the funds. The annuitants who will receive these funds have not had ANY increase in 20+ years.
Please spread the word to all your family and friends. Tell them to VOTE YES for Prop 9!!! Retired teachers deserve this Cost-of-living adjustment!!!

New Shoes for School
August 2023

The Rotary Club of Kilgore believes every child should have a new pair of shoes and socks to wear for the first day of school. Qualifying students have the opportunity to receive a new pair of shoes and socks. If your family receives benefits from SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, or the National School Lunch Program, your children will qualify to receive shoes.

Shoes will be distributed Friday, August 11, 2023 from 8:30am – 3:00pm and Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 8:30AM – 12:00Noon. The distribution will be held at Kilgore College in the Carpeted Gym of the Fitness Center. You will enter the Kilgore College building from Broadway Blvd. There will be signs to show the entrance.

The shoes will be distributed to each qualifying student in grades Pre-K through 12th grade. Each child needing shoes should be present for measuring to ensure correct size.

You will need to park in the Kilgore College parking lot directly in front of the Christ the King Catholic Church. There will be signs designating where to park.

Only one adult/parent will be allowed to accompany children from the same family group. Face masks are not required at this time. Additional safety protocol, including hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes will be employed.

El Club Rotario de Kilgore cree que todos los niños deben tener un nuevo par de zapatos para usar el primer día de escuela. Los estudiantes que califican tienen la oportunidad de recibir un nuevo par de zapatos, calcetines y una gorra para los meses más fríos. Si su familia recibió beneficios de SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, o el Programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares, sus ninos calificaran para recibir zapatos.

Los zapatos se distribuirán del viernes 11 de agosto de 2023 desde las 8:30AM- 3:00PM hasta el sábado, 12 de agosto de 2023, desde las 8:30AM a 12:00PM. La distribución se llevará a cabo en Kilgore College en el gimnasio alfombrado. Entrarán en el edificio de Kilgore College desde la Broadway Blvd. Habrán señales para mostrar la entrada.

Los zapatos se distribuirán alfabéticamente según su apellido. Los tiempos se han designado para cada letra del alfabeto y usted recibirá zapatos sólo durante los horarios designados.
Cada niño que necesite zapatos debe estar presente para medir para asegurar el tamaño correcto. Los padres/tutores deben acompañar a los niños del mismo grupo familiar.

Usted tendrá que estacionarse en el estacionamiento de Kilgore College directamente en frente de la Iglesia Católica Cristo Rey. Habrá letreros que designen dónde estacionar.

The Rotary Club of Kilgore would like everyone to join us downtown Kilgore this coming Saturday, May 27, 2023 for a Memorial Day weekend event. There will be a raffle, hot dogs, music, and a special presentation by Will Summers, a Veteran Special Forces Soldier as he talks about Remembering the Horse Soldiers. This begins at 5:00pm and will take place in front of the Crim Theater. Hope to see everyone!!
