Like we mentioned above, tires are very resilient, even when they take damage by sharp objects. The most common of these objects are nails and screws. If you drive over one at just the right angle, it’ll pierce the tire and become embedded within it.
Fortunately, a lot of times, the tire won’t quickly deflate, but it will lose air faster than usual. This gives you an opportunity to have it checked by a professional without having to worry about changing the tire yourself. These piercings can be repaired most of the time, meaning that your tire will be as good as new without having to be replaced!
