Home Savings and Loan is a state-chartered savings and loan, and has a mutual form of ownership versus stock ownership. Simply stated, this means the depositors of the company are the owners of Home Savings and Loan. Home Savings and Loan was organized under the original name Home Savings Building and Loan Company on February 6, 1888. The original site of the Company was 112 North Detroit Street,

Kenton. Later it was moved to 116 North Detroit Street, Kenton where the area was served for nearly 70 years. The present building was constructed in 1965 and remodeled in 1981 and 1987.
