Meet our most recent Nuvision Hero—and a very special one—Cathy Hiebert, our Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

Cathy’s impact on Alaska spans decades. From her family’s deep roots in the state’s broadcasting history—her father Augie founded Alaska’s first television station—to her own leadership as Executive Director of the Alaska Broadcasters Association, she has helped keep communities connected across some of the most remote and challenging terrain in the country.

But Cathy’s legacy goes far beyond her professional work. Whether she’s supporting veterans at Anchorage Memorial Cemetery, volunteering at “Shop with a Cop,” or quietly making sure others feel seen and included at community events, she shows up for Alaska in meaningful ways every single day.

As she prepares for retirement, we’re proud to recognize a lifetime defined by service, connection, and heart. We’re grateful to celebrate the lasting difference she’s made.
