Yesterday we visited Thegoldenovenbakery in Kent and are excited for their grand opening on October 25th!

They specialize in vintage cakes and baked goods that are completely gluten free and celiac safe. We got to try some of their pumpkin rolls and they are delicious!

Sometimes the most meaningful support comes with a set of keys.

Thanks to the generosity of Hometown Bank, our Hope on Wheels fleet has grown by one vehicle. Reliable transportation is often what stands between a person and a job interview, a doctor's appointment, or a meeting with their support network. This gift means more of our neighbors can get where they need to go.

Our administrative coordinator, Zoey St. John, met with Melissa Koher, Senior Vice President and Administrative Officer, and Cathleen Fertig Clark, who keeps the front desk running and is known as the "mom" of the Main Branch. Hometown Bank has long shown up for Portage County, and we are grateful to count them as partners in this work.

Thursday night, some of our Hometown Bankers had the pleasure of attending the 16th Annual Hope in a Handbag hosted by Safer Futures.

It was a wonderful evening supporting an organization that provides shelter, advocacy, resources, and hope to domestic violence survivors in Portage County. We are grateful for the opportunity to support such an important mission, and the life-changing work Safer Futures does in our community. 💜

There is still time to register for our Fraud Event!

There is still time to register and attend the Scouting for Fraud event on Wednesday! Come join us at the American Legion Post in Kent for a free event that will give you practical, actionable ways to detect, prevent, report, and recover from financial fraud. Fraud can happen to anyone, and being a victim is nothing to be ashamed of!

The event is from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and we will have free shredding and E-waste recycling from noon to 2:00pm. For more information or to register, please visit ht.bank/fraudscout.

We had a fantastic September and wanted to share some of the moments with you!

We had dinner at Celebrate Portage!, celebrated our 30th Anniversary in Brimfield, celebrated birthdays in Ravenna, listened to the Kent State University Orchestra in the Plaza, golfed at the UH Portage Golf Classic, accepted an award from Main Street Kent , and so many more incredible memories filled the final days of our Summer.

We can't wait for what wonderful memories we'll make this Fall!
