Today I found this kid tied up with a bag next to him that had his things. I didn't think if I have space, if I have a job, what my husband will say or come on baby let someone else do it. I just took him, I told him it's okay that he is scared, that I understand and that everything will be fine. I am sharing the photo so everyone can see the look of terror, sadness and shock in his eyes. The animal is in shock just like a human child would be.
Today we will become a f
amily. I hope our hug heals this traumatic experience"

READ THIS IT'S BEAUTIFUL đź’—
The fate of a mother is to wait for her children. You wait for them when you’re pregnant. You wait on them when they get out of school. You wait on for them to get home after a night out. You wait on them when they start their own lives. You wait for them when they get home from work to come home to a nice dinner. You wait for them with love, with anxiety and sometimes with anger that passes immediately when you see them and you can hug them.
Make sure your old mom doesn't have to wait any longer.
Pay her a visit, express your love, embrace the one who cherished you in a way unparalleled by anyone else. Don't keep her waiting; she anticipates this from you.
Because the membranes get old but the heart of a mother never gets old. Love her as you can. No person will love you like your mother will ❤️

I don't usually post things like this up but this man stuck out to me more than anybody ever has. He gave all his change to a mother and her child so they could take the bus to their shelter. He was walking into Hook's Wings when the mother ask him for some money so her and her child could get home. He knew if he gave it to her he wouldn't have money to eat and yet he still gave it to her. He started walking away when I called him. I offered to pay for anything he wanted and he still remained humble enough to decline my offer. After a few words I finally got him to agree. Even though he agreed he still tried to pick the smallest order possible. He ended up ordering a 6 piece wings with fries and I ordered a 20 piece wings with fries and a drink. When we finally got the food I gave him my order and I took his. I thanked him for showing me that money doesn't mean anything if you aren't helping others. In tears he thanks me and hugged me. Some people are blessed more than other but that doesn't mean we're better than them. It's a test God gives us to see who we really are. Help others because you never know when you'll need help.

”Emotional day. I went to McDonald’s today a place I never go to but I’ve been working so much I just needed something quick. I get to the window and the young man handed me my coffee . I noticed the cuts on his wrists. Tears just started flowing. When he came back to give me food he saw me and said “sir are you ok.” I told him “ I’ll be ok if you just promise me to keep fighting. I can see your peace has been drained and your happiness has been stolen, but God is getting ready to grant you a joy that can never been taken from you.” I pulled away and just sat in the parking lot to get myself together. 5 mins later that young man came running out to my car crying and asking me to pray with him because today was the first day he felt alive and that someone cared for him in 4 years. Today he gave his life to Christ!!! And I’ll be meeting his parents to get him some help later this week!!! Church doors maybe closed but God is still moving. Y’all continue to pray for our young people. We are all in this together!!!”

It doesn’t get much better than Dad's.

It’s 8 PM, and my son is getting sick - I can tell. I call my dad to see if he’ll come with me so I can leave my son in the car as I run into Dollar General for some meds.

“Of course”.

We’re driving and my Dad gently says “Elaine, let’s stop at that gas station, it won’t take long and you won’t worry about gas tomorrow - your gas light is on.”

He’s right, of course. I’ve been avoiding stopping for gas. because… ya… life.

I stop. I get out and start filling up. As I’m typing in my pin on the gas pump, I hear the door open and my dad gets out of the car and he starts cleaning my windshield.

The windshield was caked with bugs from the multiple long-distance client meetings I drove to that week. (And. Texas..)

No questions asked. No judgment. No expectation of anything in return.

Simple and pure serving and helping his (grown) daughter.

It was natural. I don’t think he even thought twice.

Dads…you are so special. We are so thankful.

-

I hope I can treat other people (including my kid!) with the type of love and service that my Dad shows me.

-

Don’t wait for someone you care about to ask for help, just get out and wash their windshield.

-

❤️

Thanks, Dad. Love you.
