Thank you to our Firefighter Heroes!!!

We have a shoutout to make to one of our own on A Shift... AJ Curtis is officially qualified as an Aerial Operator(AO) today. He has completed numerous hours of studying and training to complete the AO program and has proven proficiency with a 3 hour hands on test. He is now qualified to operate the department's only 105' aerial ladder truck. Congratulations to FF Curtis for his hard work. Many thanks to Captain B Cole along with AO's Ben Dill and Wes Armey for the many hours they spent training him.

Although not a promoted position, it is a highly respected and very much needed position. The expertise and knowledge along with a little video game experience goes a long way with operating a beautiful piece of equipment, such as our Pierce Quint. The Ladder runs out of station 5 and is cross-staffed with 3 members that run an ambulance also.
