Supporting Generational Care is deeply personal for me. When my mom was battling cancer, she relied on their services even though she wasn’t a senior. As a young mom and caregiver, those meals didn’t just support my mom — they also helped feed my daughter, who spent her days with her grandma during that time.

Mid-Columbia Meals on Wheels is not just for the elderly. It’s for anyone who needs nourishment, support, and a caring face at the door. Sometimes these volunteers are the only people a client may see in a day, and that connection means more than we often realize. They show up when family members simply can’t.

I’m grateful not just as a supporter, but as someone whose family was directly touched by the compassion of this organization. It’s an honor to serve a client who makes such a meaningful impact in the lives of so many. ❤️

Today I had the honor of attending the Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Live Your Best Life fundraising lunch — an organization that holds a very special place in my heart.

Ten years ago today, my mom was in their hospice house receiving end-of-life care. I was a single mom, juggling caring for her, handling her housing and belongings, raising my young daughter, and trying to prove myself in a brand-new job. In one of the most overwhelming moments of my life, Tri-Cities Chaplaincy stepped in with compassion, dignity, and unwavering support.

Today, they talked about why and how they “Just Say Yes,” and it reminded me exactly what that meant for my family. They cared for my mom with kindness. They held her hand when I couldn’t. They brought in movies from their own collections so she’d have something comforting to watch. And when the time came, they wrapped our family in love and support that we still carry with us.

At their hospice house, everyone enters through the front door — and everyone leaves through the front door — with honor and respect. We received hugs, handmade teddy bears and blankets from volunteers, and prayers from their chaplain. These gestures may seem small, but to us, they meant everything.

I will forever be grateful for the beautiful souls at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy and the work they do for our community. Their compassion truly changes lives. ❤️

Today, I just want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to all the men and women who have served our country. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication allow us to live with the freedoms we so often take for granted.

I’m especially thankful for the veterans in my own life — family, friends, and colleagues — who have worn the uniform and carried the weight of service with such pride and humility. Your stories, strength, and quiet leadership continue to inspire me.

To all who have served and those still serving — thank you. We honor you today and every day.

Today marks 10 years with this incredible organization! While our team became part of Highstreet a couple of years ago, the people and culture that make this place special have remained the same.

Over the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to grow in my career, take on new challenges, and work alongside colleagues who I consider not just teammates, but family. I’m truly grateful for the trust, support, and collaboration that have defined my journey here.
