Louisiana's insurance commissioner has approved State Farm's request to lower auto insurance rates.
📉 The rates will be lowered by 5.9% for more than a million policyholders with personal
auto insurance.
📉 The company said the decrease was driven by a reduction in the frequency of
physical damage claims.

Per State Farm, "Louisiana drivers insured by State Farm will 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀. The latest rate filing will lower auto rates by an additional more than -5%, effective Jan. 1.”

What is an “undisclosed driver?”
🚘 people who have access to and regularly driving the vehicles covered under the policy but are not identified “listed” as a regular driver!

If someone is driving your vehicle regardless of their relationship to you see the examples below:

👉🏻All drivers who drive the vehicle(s) on the policy once or more in a typical month.

👉🏻All drivers who regularly drive the vehicle(s) at least three months of the year.

👉🏻For business related vehicles, also include the business owner(s) and employee(s) that drive the vehicle(s) in any capacity.

👉🏻All children who are licensed drivers.

*this list is not necessarily inclusive but the majority of scenarios*

⚠️You don’t want a claim denied because of “undisclosed” drivers.

If an individual falls in any one of these categories, they must be listed as a driver on the policy.

This is a significant change to the “permissive use” policy language.

All policy language has been updated and can be reviewed on your online account.
