We are seeking a reliable, sharp, and highly motivated Bail Bond Agent / Underwriter to handle office operations and late-night phone intake.
Position Overview:
This role requires a dedicated professional to manage office duties and handle on-site, late-night shifts at our agency location in Kelso. You will be the primary point of contact for families needing help during peak late-night hours, evaluating risk, structuring collateral, and underwriting bonds.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Operations: Handle data entry, check-ins, payment processing, filing, jail roster monitoring, and outbound client follow-ups.
Phone Support: Manage the agency phone lines during designated late swing hours from our office.
Underwriting: Answer incoming calls, interview co-signers, assess flight risk, and structure payment plans/collateral.
Bond Posting: Process and clear bonds to secure the release of defendants quickly and accurately.
Schedule & Hours
Primary late swing shifts run from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, including required weekend availability.
Please Note: Shift start and end times may vary based on business needs and agency volume.
Position is located entirely on-site at the Kelso office.
Qualifications & Requirements
Clean Background: Must be able to pass a thorough background check (required for state licensing).
Availability: Must be reliable, highly responsive, and uniquely suited to work a flexible schedule centered around late swing and early morning hours.
Tech-Savvy: Strong computer skills, comfortable navigating phone systems, jail web portals, and online court registries.
Communication: Exceptional phone etiquette, empathy, and strong negotiation skills.
Prior experience in banking, insurance underwriting, collections, law enforcement, or security is a major plus, but not required.
