Houston buyers finally have something they haven’t had in a while: OPTIONS.

Houston is leading major U.S. metro areas in the number of homes for sale, which means buyers may have more choices and potentially more negotiating power than they did during the ultra-competitive housing market of the past few years.

But more inventory does NOT automatically mean every house is a good deal.

Before buying, you still need to know:

What monthly payment actually fits your budget?

How much cash should you keep after closing?

Does the purchase make sense with your 5-year plan?

And most importantly, can this home become part of your long-term wealth-building strategy?

Buying a home should never be about simply getting approved for the biggest mortgage possible. It should be about buying the RIGHT home, at the RIGHT numbers, with a plan for what comes next.
