To see firsthand how community, persistence, and faith are bringing this historic space back to life is truly special.

We gathered for the first day of demolition at historic Shepard Chapel—a milestone in bringing the Yuma Street Cultural Center to life!

After years of planning, fundraising, and community support, seeing the work begin made this vision feel real in a whole new way. We’re preserving a piece of Manhattan’s history and creating a place where culture, entrepreneurship, education, and community can thrive for generations.

To every donor, partner, and neighbor who has helped us get here: your belief in this vision is becoming something we can see. Thank you for building with us. 💛
