We had an amazing day at Junior Achievement of Greater Kansas CityAchievement of Greater Kansas City for our 11th Annual Shark Tank Competition last week! Nearly 80 students from 9 local high schools blew us away with their creative solutions for using AI in education. Big shoutout to our winners: 1st Place - Lincoln College Prep & Raytown Blue Jays and 2nd place - Allen Village & Ruskin High School

Nearly 90 students.
One powerful day of real-world learning.

Our team recently volunteered as Business Coaches for the 3DE program through Junior Achievement, working with Northeast High School students at William Jewell College. Students tackled a real business case challenge for our bank, and our volunteers offered feedback, encouragement, and guidance as teams developed and presented their ideas. They also had the opportunity to tour the William Jewell campus and experience what college life could look like.

What an inspiring evening at the 12th Annual Fashionability event! 💙
We were honored to sponsor and attend this sold-out celebration of the accomplishments, hopes, and dreams of individuals with disabilities in our Kansas City community. More than 700 guests came together — and over $1 million was raised to support programs that provide education, workforce development, and opportunities for greater independence.

We recently had the opportunity to share how Bank Enterprise Award (BEA) resources help support projects that strengthen our community — including the amazing work happening at Emmanuel Family & Child Development Center.

With support from prior BEA funding and other investments, Emmanuel has grown into a vital resource serving nearly 400 children and families through early childhood education, afterschool programs, workforce development, and family support services.

CBKC CDC has been awarded $85 million in New Markets Tax Credits by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s CDFI Fund, placing this award among the largest made nationwide in the 2024–2025 round.

This is CBKC CDC’s 14th NMTC award, bringing total NMTC investment to $716 million supporting job creation, economic growth, and access to essential services in communities that need it most.

We’re proud to continue investing in projects that strengthen local economies and create opportunity - projects like Rodgers Health new Pediatric Wing.
