Mind blown moment from our summer trip to the Quad Cities.

My wife Christina is from the Quad Cities, and neither of us knew this little nugget: Dairy Queen's famous soft-serve recipe was developed there in Moline, Illinois. Even sweeter, Dairy Queen celebrates its 100th anniversary next year.

It made me think about what it takes for a business to last. You don't make it 100 years without earning trust and building loyal customers.

After a week of closing deals, answering questions, and talking mortgages, it's nice to hit pause for a few hours.

The best part of this business isn't the rates or paperwork — it's the people. Helping families buy homes and build their futures is rewarding, but so is taking time to enjoy great company and a perfect Kansas City evening.

Summer housing season is a lot like booking flights: timing matters.

July through August is prime homebuying season. Inventory is high, but so is competition as families rush to move before school starts.

☀️ July: More homes, more chaos. Good properties move fast, competition is fierce, and sellers hold more leverage. (There’s also some crazy global soccer tourney happening in KC. Who knew?)
