Being a Black woman in this industry, I’ve had to face challenges that don’t always get talked about openly.

There have been moments where decisions, policies, and practices reflected deliberate unfairness—where I’ve had to question whether the standard was truly the same for everyone, all while navigating and at times battling a court system that adds pressure to the work.

At the same time, entrepreneurship and leadership come with their own weight. Not everyone on your team will carry the same drive or urgency—and sometimes that means you’re the one holding everything together behind the scenes.

And still… I show up.

Because behind every transaction is hard work, discipline, and a commitment to defendants and families that goes far beyond what people see.

HE WENT TO BUY A CAR — AND NEVER CAME HOME

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF KOURTNEY DAVIS
Jackson, Mississippi — January 16, 2016

Twenty-six-year-old Kourtney Davis left his home that afternoon to look at a car in South Jackson. He was driving his black 2013 Chevy Camaro — a car he loved, a car that made the day feel routine and exciting at the same time.

The last place he was seen was Fred’s Discount Store on Terry Road.
After that moment, everything went silent.

Kourtney never called home.
He never returned.

And his mother, who spoke to him every single day, knew instantly that something was wrong. She reported him missing right away.

Not long after his disappearance, Kourtney’s Camaro was found stripped and abandoned — as if someone tried to erase him from the world.

But Kourtney himself was gone.
No phone. No trace. No explanation.

There is no public information available on the friend who went with him that day.

Eight years have passed.
No arrests.
No answers.

No peace for the family who has waited every day for the truth.
Kourtney is described as 6’1”, 180 pounds, deeply loved, and absolutely not the type of man to vanish without a word.
