My Association President counterpart in the Asheville area, Nick Hinton spoke to the North Carolina REALTORS Board of Directors yesterday. Such a moving, tearful and emotional speech. The devastation is unimaginable.

The loss of real estate in the effected areas total approximately $272 million dollars. The estimate to rebuild everything is $43 BILLION! Mind boggling.

The saddest part was the loss of two REALTORS and 40 are still missing.

Continue to pray for Nick, our REALTOR family and that entire area. The need is tremendous.

First load out this morning. We had three more truck loads and another truck with a trailer load go out as well. Thanks so much for the help from our agents, vendors (Terry Whitesell at Novus Mortgage), our neighbors at the Marketplace for letting us use their unloading zone, dollies, carts and hand trucks.

Our lobby is empty but we are still taking donations until Friday at 4pm.

I cant thank our agents enough. Lantern agents really showed out when it was needed. But its not just Lantern agents, we have been working in partnership with Leigh Brown at One Community Real Estate and Cindy Hanson at CK Select Coldwell Banker.

Where is FEMA? Its like looking for Waldo, but your area REALTORS have stepped up and responded! Not with empty promises, but with food, water, supplies, gas, volunteers, money, you name it. That's what we do, that's who we R!!!!!

Keep praying and donating. This is nothing compared to the need. It doesn't end here, Y'all!!!!
