🚨TAKE ACTION: Protect American Beef Production 🚨

Illinois Farm Bureau and Illinois Beef Association are asking you to urge Congress and the White House to protect American beef production.

An additional 660 million pounds of foreign beef is set to enter the U.S. over just 90 days at prices 25% below market value, undercutting producers.

Now is not the time. Farmers need long-term market stability, allowing producers to rebuild the U.S. cattle herd, increase American beef production and ensure consumers have access to a safe, abundant and affordable food supply.

🌾 Friends of Agriculture Award 🌾

We were proud to come together with County Farm Bureau leaders from Livingston County Farm Bureau and Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau to recognize and honor three outstanding advocates for agriculture: Chris Balkema for State Senate, State Representative Jackie Haas, and State Representative Jason R. Bunting.

Each of these leaders was presented with the Friend of Agriculture Award in recognition of their dedication to agriculture and their continued support of Illinois farmers. It was a special opportunity to have leadership from all three counties together to celebrate those who continue to stand up for our agricultural community.

Thank you, Chris, Jackie, and Jason, for your continued support of Illinois agriculture and the farmers who work hard to keep it moving forward. 🚜🌾

What an incredible week at the Kankakee County Fair! 🎡☀️

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, supported us, shared a conversation, and enjoyed a popsicle. Seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones made this year’s fair one to remember.

We’re so grateful for the opportunity to be part of such an amazing community and can’t thank everyone enough for making the week such a success. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.

Now it’s time to start counting down until next year! We can’t wait to do it all again, make even more memories, and hand out many more popsicles. 🍦❤️

Our Ag Olympics was an incredible success! We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who came out, participated, and helped make the day so memorable. It was amazing to see so many people come together for some friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of laughs.

🌱 Ag Around Kankakee County 🌱
This summer, we’re traveling across Kankakee County to meet local farmers, agricultural businesses, and organizations. Through this series, we’ll share their stories and highlight the important role they play in our community.
For our fourth visit, we traveled to Momence to visit Oosterhoff & Son, a local flower farm. We talked with Glen, the owner, family about the history of the farm, how it has changed over the years, what it takes to run a successful flower operation, and where the flowers are sold.
