Happy World Down Syndrome Day! The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. This day is extra special for my family because we have a beautiful daughter, Adeline, who was born with Down syndrome. People celebrate the day by wearing mismatched or crazy socks.
