Wow! Thanks so much for a fantastic week! If that Hononichi order had arrived on time this week would have broken all our records, but we’re pretty happy with where it’s ending regardless.

Thank you to all the students and professors who chose to shop local, to so many of you who traveled hours to shop here because places like this just don’t exist in every community, to all the new and familiar folks who came for supplies and whimsy and inspiration, and to Jasmine, who I couldn’t have gotten through the week without.

We’re going to be here for a few hours on Monday in addition to our regular Tuesday-Saturday hours next week and we look forward to seeing more of your beautiful faces then. I’ll post Monday hours on social media as soon as I make a decision.

I was busy with students yesterday (thank you!) so I barely got to look at all the new supplies that arrived. All I could do was peek and say “Come. On.” over and over because they’re all just so cute. Loads of matchbook memo boxes and sticky notes and stickers and letter sets arrived, and check out the new Luddite pencil case colors and styles!

The shop is open until 6 today and we’re exited to show you all the new arrivals. And if you’re wondering about the Hobonichi planners, we’re still waiting on our shipment 😢

Good morning! I’m at the shop early to put together class kits for Painting I students at 🙌🏻 Big thanks once again to Heidi Weiss ◦ Painting ◦ Mixed Media for the opportunity to serve your students.

If you’re not in Heidi’s classes but are taking classes at WMU, K College, KVCC, or KIA this fall I’m not doing your kits but I prepared for you anyway. Even if you get a link to buy your kit from a big, corporate chain please know you have a choice and I would be honored for you to choose Kalamazoo Dry Goods. While I can arrange the best discounts when I’m able to put together kits, you can still come in and we’ll give you 10-20% off any items on your list.

Sorry for the inconvenience, friends, but the shop will be opening late on Friday so I can take some time to honor this good boy. Charlie enjoyed 20 years of camping trips and beach days and so much love from our family and our other pups, and we are so thankful to have had so much love from him in return.

Jasmine will be there to take care of you 11-7 Friday and I’ll be back in the shop Saturday.

We’re so excited to welcome back all the students and help set everyone up for success this fall!

We have charcoal and Gamsol and 18x24” pads and all the other supplies for art students, but we also have loads of supplies to help everyone else stay organized as the busy season begins, too.

We look forward to helping you find the perfect tools for your artwork and your life.
