Born and raised in Mililani, Nick graduated from Mililani High School. Nick continued his education at Holy Names University in Oakland Hills, California before transferring to the University of Hawaii-Hilo where he graduated in Business Administration and Finance with Academic Honors. Nick also played four years of NCAA Division II basketball, captaining the team his senior year. An active member of Hawaii's youth basketball community, Nick works with young basketball players in his hometown of Mililani, and is an assistant coach with Punahou School's boys basketball team.
