Flood Insurance! Are you required to have it? Do you want it? We have access to a private flood insurance program that is now offered to Hawaii Homeowners. This policy offers no waiting period, no surcharge for secondary residence and investment properties, higher limits of coverage, additional limits of coverage and 7 of 10 times offers a much lower rate. Elevation certificates are not required however, a substantial credit may be given. I just saved a client $4k a year yesterday on her flood policy!
