The Robert Nichols Insurance Group strives to mitigate our clients risks with top-of-the-line carriers while offering the best value and service for your dollar. Robert Nichols founded the Robert Nichols Insurance Group in the year 2014. He earned his degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the Florida State University. While attending FSU he earned a Scholarship for a project he had done in

his Commercial Risk Management Course. He also interned at Insurance Agent Internet Marketing Systems, and his research was used in a paper by IAIMS. He started his career at Northwestern Mutual specializing in Life, Disability, and Long-Term Care Insurance. He then worked as a State Farm agent helping thousands of clients with their Auto, Homeowners, Life, Health, and Business Insurance needs. Finally he was one of three sales producers in a successful scratch Allstate agency. Notably writing through over twelve different Homeowners Insurance carriers. He opened up the Robert Nichols Insurance Group because his belief that no client should be handcuffed by one carrier. We do what's best for our clients and our focus is always on giving our clients the best possible service at the best possible rate no matter the carrier.

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, to enforce Abraham Lincoln’s order to end slavery in the rebelling state farthest west

It’s been observed as a day to honor this history and celebrate Black culture and resilience, and it officially became a federal holiday in 2021.

Did you know a burglary happens once every 30 seconds in the United States? If that statistic has you wondering whether you really did lock your door, we get it…and may have done a quick check ourselves 👀

Once you get back from double (or triple) checking, here are some other steps you can take to protect your home when you’re out and about:

💡 Install motion sensor lighting outside as a deterrent at night.
📵 Limit announcing your whereabouts on social media. While you may know most everyone on your friend list, more people can see social media activity than you may realize.
⏰ Consider installing an alarm system. Alarm systems have come a long way--they're easy to install and even easier to operate. Many will notify the company and/or the police if the alarm is tripped.
🎥 Install cameras. Cameras act as a deterrent and can help catch individuals who wander onto your property. Perimeter or porch cameras are easy to install and operate.

Got the best mailman greeter and squirrel chaser in the biz? While most of our dogs are usually all bark and no bite, incidents involving even the most well-trained dogs do sometimes happen–and owners need to be prepared.

The good news: your homeowners policy will cover an incident occurring on your property in most cases. But there are several common exclusions to such coverage, including for:

- Certain prohibited breeds
- Any trained guard or attack dog
- Any animal that has a history of biting (public record or prior claim)
- Any other animal deemed dangerous, vicious, or potentially dangerous under state statute
