You are like that river!

Let me explain,
Did your parents ever tell you to do something, and you were obstinate on the task? But if it was something you wanted to do....you were all up and on that!

Call it gravity or desire, call it a downhill slope or something that came easily to you, call it a force of nature or something you were fascinated by.

When it comes to people who succeed - in finance, in work, in business, fitness, etc etc,
They are called to do it, with great desire. They are fascinated by the subject and want to learn, want to try and experiment.

Moral - Go with that desire, work like a force of nature, be a river compelled to spread your message. And don't stop until you get there.

Growth is Key!

I am NOT a photographer! I am a pull-out-the-phone-camera-point-and-shoot kinda person. Good or bad, I keep it, and sadly....I post the trash!

But I am trying to learn new skills to make my photos better.

That's the point in life....to grow...to get better, to learn new skills. is my motto - you can look back on old posts and see it stamped everywhere- That's because its true!

I am no where near the best on anything -But, I refuse to stop improving, even if its just in little increments. A daily 1% improvement, also called a marginal gain, is still a 37% improvement in a year! (math is weird!)

If this were a class that could mean the difference of a grade of D up to an A!

So, where you are lacking in skills, work towards a 1% growth. Growth is slow, but it can take you from a barely passing up to a good score!

Everyone sees the "overnight success", no one sees the days, months or years of them being dog-tired, working hard!

Here's the Dog-tired- After multiple days of driving back and forth across the state, and finishing my Yoga 300hr finals, I'm spent! My mind and body are tired (Lordy, my eyes show it here!) But I am one more step towards my goals.

"Overnight successes" don't exist!!!

Used bookstores are such a gift to this world, in terms of information, cost and value. I very rarely will ever buy a new book, unless I simply can't find it elsewhere. Plus used books have character!

Books open a world of knowledge to you, yet so few people do any regular reading after highschool and college....the statistics are actually quite sad! Almost all of the top business leaders, wealthiest people in the world, and world leaders read daily. If it's good enough for top performers, why not you?

We travel a LOT! But, travel doesn't have to be expensive...

Budget traveling- like finding free things to do, is always a first priority for us on the road. Especially with so many cities offering free outdoor art installations, amazing parks and museums.

Some of our favorite things we've ever done were free! Now, that doesn't mean we don't go to paid exhibits or events...we just simply choose them second.

This hilarious and random badminton shuttlecock was made by husband and wife team Claes Oldenburg & Coosje van Bruggen. Lord knows I love randomness so we had to catch a photo.

A little throwback to 2021, when I was studying for my personal trainer exam with our pet chicken, Princess Lay-a 🐔!

Spring is always my big growth season!
I double down on studies or goals, and I tend to go a little monk-mode in the spring while I'm highly motivated. I feel like I'm the only one like that though......

Do you have a season that tends to be your "growth season" ....or a study partner thats a chicken?
