🚸 School Zone Warning Flashers Return Friday, August 7!

As a reminder that students will soon be heading back to school, the City of Junction City Public Works Department will activate all school zone warning flashers on Friday, August 7.

Please remember:
🟡 School resumes Wednesday, August 12
🟡 Obey the 20 MPH speed limit whenever school zone flashers are activated.
🟡 Watch carefully for students walking and biking to and from school during the morning and afternoon hours.

Please note: School zone speed limit enforcement and ticketing will not begin until Wednesday, August 12, when students officially return to the classroom.

I teamed up with our local fire department to promote lithium-ion battery safety — this year’s fire prevention theme! I was proud to donate fire safety education kits, which the department will be handing out to help teach kids about staying safe.
