Information just went out for the 2024 KSKJ Life National Board of Directors election. All KSKJ members are allowed to vote either online or by phone between the dates of April 19th and May 24th. We're excited to share that Lodge 143's own Joe Markun is one of the five candidates on the ballot! Read on to learn more about Joe (pictured here with his family):

The son of lodge members Frank and Rosemary Markun, Joe has been a KSKJ member since grade school. He purchased his own policy with paper route and grass cutting money to participate in fraternal activities with friends. Since getting married and having children, he has been proud to provide his wife and three children with their own policies for financial security, as well as social and philanthropic opportunities.

🎓 Career & Education
Last year, Joe completed a very successful 35-year career at Caterpillar Inc. He held various positions in manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and logistics. Most recently, he retired as Vice President of Large Engine Manufacturing with global responsibility for 8 facilities in the US, Northern Ireland and China. Joe graduated from Bradley University with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and received his MBA from Milliken University.

❓ Why KSKJ Board of Directors?
After retiring from Caterpillar, Joe is looking for an opportunity to add value to a new and different industry. KSKJ Life is an organization he's familiar with and whose values and beliefs align with his own. He believes his education and professional background will provide the KSKJ board with new experience and a unique perspective that will help KSKJ Life maintain success in years to come.
