• Maintain clear emergency access to fields, barns, and equipment storage areas.

Deer activity is increasing on Ohio roads, especially around dawn and dusk. A few extra seconds of attention can make a meaningful difference.

To help stay safer behind the wheel:
• Slow down in wooded areas and where deer-crossing signs are posted.
• Scan both sides of the road—where there is one deer, others may be nearby.
• If a deer enters your path, brake firmly and stay in your lane rather than swerving.

If a collision happens, pull over safely, check for injuries, document the damage, and contact local authorities if needed.
