Next in the spotlight is David Strittmatter, the Office Manager at our newest location in Altoona PA. David brings an impressive 14 years experience with The Health Insurance Place, making him a valued and trusted member of our team.
Meet David!
I am a health insurance agent who helps individuals and families navigate their Medicare and Pennie options. I specialize in breaking down complex insurance information into clear, understandable choices so clients can select plans that truly fit their needs.
Detail-oriented by nature, I enjoy the unique differences of each client’s situation and take pride in being a constant, reliable resource—not just during enrollment, but long after coverage begins. Education is at the heart of how I operate. I don’t just recommend plans; I help clients understand why those plans make sense and continue to support them as questions or needs arise. Helping others through a process that’s often confusing—and let’s be honest, isn’t exactly fun—is what I find most rewarding.
When I’m not assisting clients, you’ll usually find me tending to my garden or flower beds with my dog, Whiskey. I see a lot of similarities between gardening and insurance—patience matters, details matter, and when you have the right foundation, everything has the chance to grow and thrive.

“Get to Know Us”! We’re kicking things off by spotlighting our first team member, Jill Duvall, who has been a valued part of our agency for 11 years. Get to know Jill!

I’m excited to introduce myself as Managing Director at The Health Insurance Place.
In this role, I focus on overseeing operations, supporting our teams, and strengthening relationships with agency partners and carriers — all with the goal of driving sustainable growth while maintaining strong operational discipline.
I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside Joe Fortunato for 10+ years, an experience that has strongly shaped both my leadership approach and my view of our responsibility as an agency. During that time, I’ve learned the importance of providing exceptional support to our broker partners while serving health insurance clients in a way that is personal, caring, and thoughtful.
What I enjoy most about this work is helping create the structure behind the scenes that allows our agents, partners, and members to succeed. Healthcare is complex, and I believe thoughtful, well run operations make a meaningful difference.
Outside of work, my time is centered around my daughter and family. Whether it’s quality time together or cheering my daughter and nieces on at a volleyball match, those moments keep me grounded and bring balance to everything I do. They are the why behind my drive.
I’m grateful to be part of an organization that values integrity, collaboration, and long term relationships, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the success of The Health Insurance Place.
