If something doesn’t feel right, take a second look.

Scammers are constantly finding new ways to make texts, emails and calls look legitimate.

Before clicking a link, responding to an unexpected message or sharing personal information, stop and make sure you know who you’re dealing with.

When in doubt, check with us first.

Who is a woman in your life who always reminds you to take care of yourself?

Sometimes we all need that reminder. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, take a moment to encourage the women you care about to stay on top of recommended screenings.

Early detection matters, and a simple reminder from someone who cares can make a difference. Tag someone who deserves that reminder today.

What story always gets told when your family gets together?

Maybe it’s a story you’ve heard a hundred times, a memory with an old friend or one that gets a little better every time someone tells it.

That’s part of what makes storytelling so special. This weekend, Jonesborough welcomes storytellers and visitors from across the country for the National Storytelling Festival.

We’re proud to call a community that celebrates the power of a great story home.

Some conversations are difficult. They’re also too important not to have.

Today, we joined others from across our region for Frontier Health’s Community Conversation, bringing awareness to domestic violence and supporting the important work of Safe House.

Safe House provides critical support and resources to individuals and families when they need them most. We’re grateful to stand alongside an organization doing this important work and a community willing to come together, listen and help.

It’s a beautiful day to be a good neighbor. What if we each did just one neighborly thing today?

It might be as simple as waving across the street, checking in on someone, carrying a package to the porch, sharing a meal, lending a hand, or offering a little extra kindness and patience.

Greater communities aren’t built by grand gestures alone. They’re built through small acts of kindness between people who choose to look out for one another.

Here’s to good neighbors today and every day.

Some travel far. We call it home. What’s one local place you think everyone should experience at least once?

As we head into World Tourism Day weekend, we’re celebrating the places that make our corner of Northeast Tennessee pretty special.

People travel from near and far to experience Jonesborough, Tennessee’s oldest town, with its history, charm and storytelling traditions. For us, it’s something even better. It’s home, and one of the communities we have the privilege of serving every day.
